I'm a little disturbed at the reasons students are giving for wanting to be on the Admissions Committee this year. They revolve around 1) the intellectual qualia of the current cohort 2) my [allegedly] comically bizarre behaviour whilst heading the committee. Hhmmmmm.
Update: It turns out I really am a little disruptive at these interviews. It is strange to phrase it that way, given that what I am disrupting is the interview I myself am conducting. But clearly, I veer away from the script. Poor kids. Some of them have a lot more fun than they expected, and some... just tank.
