Bonus! Here's a little update on the dating scene:
Boy do I hate it when people text me 4 times before I respond to their first text. And when it's all in a row, don't even imagine I'll appreciate it. HOW and WHY would anyone decide it's a GOOD IDEA to send me SIX TEXTS IN A ROW containing information that a) could have fit into one text message b) was probably not that crucial to convey at all!!! JJJEEEEEEEZZZUUUSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

I'm on this poor guy's side on this one. Perhaps he thought of something else after sending the text, and probably he doesn't think that all interactions need to be crucial. Give him a break!
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't a one-time thing. He doesn't just think of things and add them. He sends as he emotes, every chunk of meaning in a separate message. So I get 3 or 4 2-word (or symbol) texts in a row. I pay for every text I get, so even if my irritation at the constant text-received-notifications were negligible, the economic consequences could be considered.

Let me further defend myself against an in-person comment recently received. This sort of behaviour is by no means a deal-breaker. If the guy were otherwise a-ok, then I'd just bring it up with him, we'd agree on a solution that allowed him to express himself and didn't irritate the bejeezus out of me, it would not be a big deal. Because this particular guy had a different fatal flaw, the negotiation did not occur. So I can just be irritated FOREVER.
